When this church building was being constructed, a particular church member would regularly observe the activities of the Master Stone Workers as they skillfully assembled the major piles of stone to build the Sanctuary part of the building that stands today.
The gentleman always wore a Bolar hat. With arms behind his back, he monitored each task the men performed with extreme interest.
He had many suggestions to offer these men. The men doing the work decided that since he was so diligent in his presence during the construction phase, he needed to be remembered in this fashion on our back wall.
